Description

HysterMag is a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and is used to measure M-H loop of materials. All parts of HysterMag are modularized. It is easy to maintain or fix HysterMag. HysterMag is consisted of

  • Electromagnet/Current supplier
  • Water-circulating cooler
  • Sample vibrator
  • Sample-position calibrator
  • Magnetic sensors
  • Control electronics
  • Software

The sample position is precisely calibrated by utilizing a laser. The laser ray goes through the center of the pair of magnets and the magnetic sensors. Once the laser ray hits the sample, the sample is well posited. The magnetic sensors are a pair of coils, which are 20 mm in diameter.

Versatile types of samples are usable for the M-H loop measurement:

HysterMag is equipped with two kinds of sample holders for different types of samples. One type of holders is used for liquid, gel, powder, and bulk, the other is for films and foils. In case of films and foils, the applied magnetic field is either parallel or perpendicular to the film/foil plane. The sample holder is screwed to the vibrating rod. Users can change the sample holder by themselves anytime.
